The gorgon is typically depicted as a hideous female creature, with living snakes as hair. The visage of the gorgon's face is so ghastly, that it can turn spectators to stone. Descriptions vary, and at times, the gorgon is depicted with the lower body of that of a snake aswell.
Alternatively, the gorgon might be depicted as a bull with metalic scales and the ability to breathe fire.
