The roc is a gargantuan eagle-like bird with a wingspan of up to 80 feet. They are known to prey on elephants and other large animals, that they will swoop up and carry back to their nests.

The roc is said to date back to around 1300 AD, inspired by the myths of Garuda in eastern mythologies.
