The satyr is a male humanoid, with the torso of a man, and the legs of a goat. At times they are shown with horns and tails aswell. Some variations have human legs, but still have horns and a tail. A female counterpart exists, but was not part of the original mythos. They are typically linked with virility, music and festivities in general. They play a manner of different musical instruments, the most well-known example being flutes.
